If a Tree Falls in the Woods….

Photo of a female statue sitting sadly next to a cross, one hand holding her head in sadness, and the other holding a bouquet of flowers. She appears to be overcome with emotions.

This Tuesday I want to challenge my #PeoplePleasers who push themselves to the breaking point on their jobs....

You've probably heard the old question, "If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it still make a sound?"

Well....

If you are working your hardest, and doing your best and no one verbally recognizes you, or gives you kudos, aren't you still kicking @ss in a way that you can be proud of?

HINT: The answer to both questions is "Yes".

Learning to recognize yourself and your best efforts is a sign of a healthy sense of self-worth.

Getting caught in a cycle of pushing yourself beyond your limits because you are addicted to others' praise...is a heavy burden to carry.

What might it feel like to care more about what YOU think about you?

What would it feel like to lay that burden of everyone else's opinions down?

Believe it or not, that choice is there for you to make...it isn't easy to break the cycle, but once you bring awareness to your own patterns THAT is when you magically begin to see your moment of CHOICE.

If you want some pointers on how to begin to break that cycle, sign up for my Newsletter and I'll get those to you right away.
