Accomplishments
Yesterday I wrote an article about how I woke up feeling "off" and granted myself permission to take it easy. Just that little bit of self compassion has me feeling revived and ready to go today.
I got yet another boost when I read the post of Angela Meyburg (ACC, CPC) this morning. She has been doing an August Challenge for her followers to take action on becoming the best version of themselves and asked for reflection on people's accomplishments so far, and just taking that moment to review my wins this month made me smile.
🤔 How often do you take time to look in your rear view mirror at your accomplishments?
🙌 How often do you celebrate them?
Take a moment to do that for yourself and see if you can't end this week by feeling just a little proud of what you got done!
Perfectionists...I know you'll be tempted to not give yourselves credit for things that "could have gone better", and if that comes up for you, dig in on these questions.
When you reflect on that thing that you thought "could have gone better", what percentage of it did you get completed based on the ACTUAL parameters of the task?
💥 When are you going to allow yourself to celebrate THAT percentage?💥
Are you ready to lay down that HEAVY backpack filled with those perceived/self inflicted expectations? Have you noticed the way they hold you back?
Think on that and reach out if you'd like some support unpacking, because you can (AND deserve to) walk with a lighter step 💃 jennifer@dailychoices.life
