Seeing Small Miracles

Do you take the time in your day to notice life's small miracles?

I'm not talking about burning bush kinds of miracles, but ones like this moment I photographed recently at the botanical gardens outside of Hilo. The size and vibrance of this flower together with the amazing colors and patterns of this gecko for some reason brought me so much joy.

When we get busy, we tend to get myopic in the way we see, and interact with our world. The focus on our to-do lists and getting through our day becomes everything, and we forget to take a moment to just BE.

Start making one of your
Daily Choices, to create a mindfulness practice of taking 5 minutes (for starters) in your day to fully engage in finding a few small miracles, or to list five things you are grateful for. Really put your heart into it, and it will turn your focus on stress & overwhelm on it's ear.
